Course description

Become a nature photographer. Move beyond shooting in automatic; learn how to adjust your camera’s manual settings to get the shot you want. Learn basic composition and editing techniques. Apply your new skills on the grounds of The Arboretum, where there’s no shortage of natural beauty to capture. The course includes classroom instruction, in-field shooting, and a critique session.

Instructor

Erica Benson, photography Instructor or Cora Jacobs, nature photographer

Erica Benson has been a professional photographer since 2000 and a photography instructor since 2007. She is passionate about her field and looks forward to sharing her experience with her students. 

Cora Jacobs is both a nature and street photographer.  She has been teaching at The Morton Arboretum since 2012.  She is a member of the Morton Arboretum Photographic Society.  She also teaches magazine production at Columbia College Chicago.
