  • Let miles of walking trails at The Morton Arboretum roll beneath your feet as you experience and discover the wonders of nature and earn your Hiking Merit Badge. Two Sundays, May 3, 2020, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and August 23, 2020, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Study the characteristics, behavior, and significance of birds as you earn your merit badge at The Morton Arboretum. Saturday, May 16, 2020, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Learn what it takes to be a good citizen in the world. Compare the rights we have in the United States with the rights of two other countries. Two Tuesdays, May 19 and June 23, 2020, 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • How much do you know about your national government? In this merit badge class, held at The Morton Arboretum, explore the three branches of our national government. Two Wednesdays, May 20 and June 24, 2020, 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • How much do you know about government where you live? Just as ecosystems within The Morton Arboretum are a complex web, you live in a complex web of government units. Two Thursdays, May 21 and June 25, 2020, 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Capture nature from a new angle! Take the time to play with mirrors, water, shadows, and light in this photography class at The Morton Arboretum. Participants must bring their own digital camera Monday through Friday, June 22 through 26, or July 20 through 24, 2020, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • What can you make out of natural items? Put your creativity to the test as you hike to find craft supplies in the forest and then assemble them into your own unique and useful art at The Morton Arboretum. June 8 through 12, or July 13 through 17, 2020, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Put your forest and problem solving skills to the test as you take on daily challenges, solve puzzles, and explore the Arboretum to answer riddles. In teams, campers will create their own “escape room” challenge in the forest! Monday through Friday, June 1 through 5, July 6 through 10, or August 3 through 7, 2020, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Engineering and art collide as you take on building challenges and put your creativity to the test! Spend time exploring our latest art exhibit and build your own art from natural materials at The Morton Arboretum. June 15 through 19, or July 27 through 31, 2020, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
