The Morton Arboretum has named Preston Bautista, PhD, as its vice president of learning and engagement.
In his new role, Bautista will be responsible for advancing the Arboretum’s strategy for education, knowledge management, interpretation and exhibits, and major exhibitions. Motivated by the opportunity to address environmental issues affecting the world today, Bautista said that he is eager to lead learning and engagement efforts through transformative, memorable and meaningful experiences at the Arboretum.
Registration opens Feb. 3 for The Morton Arboretum’s Summer Science Camps, June 1 through Aug. 14. More than 100 camps are designed to spark a sense of discovery and appreciation for nature through science experiments, art and creative play, and inspire the next generation of conservationists, environmental scientists and outdoor enthusiasts.
